Who are the people behind space-traveling projects!?
What we know with utmost certainty about Michael Blum is that he was born in Hong Kong but to an all-German family. He grew up there but later went to the United States to study. He graduated with honors from Yale and surprisingly quickly entered the business world and became a businessman of interest.
What especially awakens curiosity about Blum is that he seems to be quite successful in making a profit from companies that fail. One of those is the company called Hedgeye that Blum co-owned and managed for several years. This was the company involved in space tourism that managed to provoke the rage of the number of investors who wanted to embark on a space journey. They couldn’t get what they paid for despite waiting for years but they also couldn’t get their money back so they decided to sue the company. This finally leads Hedgeye to declare bankruptcy but Blum who was the CEO at the time remained unharmed and still well respected in the business community.
How Did Blum Keep His Reputation
This is a good question that brings a lot of speculations. While some were enraged, others claimed that Blum is a good and trustworthy businessman who made an error in judgment that leads to a terrible financial disaster. However, some have a different theory.
Rumors are that companies such as Hedgeye or Xcor, other companies involved in the same industry managed by Blum weren’t real companies, to begin with. Blum has close connections with a businessman whose record isn’t what you would call clear, such as Sergey Shederov and PJ King who are also “experts” in the space travel business. Besides he has been suspected to be involved in several serious criminal activities. All things considered, one is left to believe that companies that Blum managed and created served for something other than space travel, such as money laundering.
For now, it is difficult to tell whether these rumors are true or not even if people say where there is smoke there is fire as well. One thing is true though – by looking at facts it is difficult to understand how this so-called trustworthy businessman managed to destroy every company he touched with any consequences.
