Michael Blum Shames SpacePort America Investment Saying It’s a Burden to Taxpayer

Michael Blum seems to be continually stirring everything in the wrong direction. Alongside his other failing businesses, he is also the president at Hedgeye. The only reason he is holding this position is that they go back with the CEO and founder of the company, Keith McCullough.

Michael Blum Shames SpacePort America Investment Saying It's a Burden to Taxpayer

Blum has been a self-acclaimed space investor for years now. And although Blum says his passion for space started when he was five years old, he hasn’t been able to do much with it. In his latest interview at Hedgeye, he could hardly name one accomplishment he has done as a person as far as space exploration is concerned.

He does have a dream and a version of how the future will look like, but again he doesn’t mention any plan on how to make anything happen. Maybe he was calling on space enthusiasts such as Elon Musk and Amazon Jeff to help in the funding. While this may be a plan, his ideas may never happen if he doesn’t take any step.

He might have hit a few nerves when he criticized the SpacePort America that cost $209 sponsored by State of New Mexico. He discredited the investment, saying that it was selfish and would only cost the taxpayers money they didn’t have. According to Blum, the area lacks the necessary products to entertain guests. It’s such a bummer that he can’t see all the business the community might get from the investment.

Final Call

Michael Blum might have been a sensation in the past, but that has definitely changed in time. It’s fair to say he has lost the charm he once had as a businessman.
